colorful fall leaves
as rinne mentioned in a previous post, i am obsessed with color field photos of fall leaf colors. i think one of my top ten favorite things is wet fall leaves on pavement. if i had the patience to paint these giant, i would. endless wonderful patterns, textures and colors that inspire so many ideas for so many things. i will go out again today if i can stand the cold!

vickers
as we wrote yesterday, we always enjoy a road trip to our friends' dahlia farm in nearby greene county...the frost hit last weekend, so the dahlias are gone until next year. so, please enjoy this dash of color and some animal life from a recent visit to their farm!

Read Morelou's flowers
our friend lou kregel has been painting huge chrysanthemums on walls, roofs, and doors all over athens (and beyond) for years. her flowers are a welcome burst of color, sometimes in the most unexpected of places. she has painted over 30 mums thus far. thanks, lou!
