edisto beauty
edisto island has miles of uninhabited shoreline and primeval forests that are so wild and beautiful. we stayed for a weekend in october and had the whole place to ourselves. we finally headed back to the car as the sun set, and i got these dreamy pastel landscapes pics.

silvered leaves
we discovered these dried leaves and displayed them for a recent field trip sale. they look beautiful just taped to the wall with some washi tape from treehouse. at over 20" in length, they would be equally beautiful in a wreath or on a mantel.

city owls
We live pretty close to downtown and a lot of hustle and bustle of Athens. For the past several years we have heard an owl, whoo-whoo-whoo-whoo-whooooing near our house. Nearly everynight we hear it. The other night while I was outside with my daughter it was a little louder than normal and I looked up and there it was. Perched up on a branch and then it flew to a neighbors house. We walked over to see it and there were two! We spent almost an hour watching these two owls frolic together. It was quite a magical experience.
