blooming in the woods
Even though our Winter has been quite mild....seeing daffodils in full bloom gets me craving Spring! We were at the Botanical Gardens and they had started. We'll get to see these beauties in full bloom for a month or so.

camelias
Camellias are as southern as fried chicken and pecan pie. They used to be a lot more popular than they are now. They are slow growing and take years to get to this glorious stage; a big, thick, tall shrub, full of blooms. This one is at least 40 years old. Worth the wait.

silvered leaves
we discovered these dried leaves and displayed them for a recent field trip sale. they look beautiful just taped to the wall with some washi tape from treehouse. at over 20" in length, they would be equally beautiful in a wreath or on a mantel.

the Dahlia Farm
I just spent the day out at the Dahlia Farm with a good friend. It is one of my favorite places to visit and I try to go out every year. It was probably the last week to see the wonderful blooms and I am so thankful I did. Enjoy!
