hard frost
The other morning I looked out and the fields were white as snow. A hard frost coated everything in snow white crystals. I put on my warmest clothes and headed out to inspect the beauty.

The lines of Winter
One of my favorite parts of winter is peeking up at the bare branches of the trees. I love to admire the architecture and designs that are exposed against the white of the Winter sky.

the big frost
Last week we had a big frost. I headed out to the meadow to look and see. Mind-blowing subtle beauty!

A young bird
The other day I went to a few holiday market at the Depot Gallery in Farmington. My favorite find was this young man Atticus who was selling these sweet drawings of birds.
Keep drawing Atticus!
golden leaves
city owls
We live pretty close to downtown and a lot of hustle and bustle of Athens. For the past several years we have heard an owl, whoo-whoo-whoo-whoo-whooooing near our house. Nearly everynight we hear it. The other night while I was outside with my daughter it was a little louder than normal and I looked up and there it was. Perched up on a branch and then it flew to a neighbors house. We walked over to see it and there were two! We spent almost an hour watching these two owls frolic together. It was quite a magical experience.

Fall's Best
Every Fall I am taken by the natural beauty in our trees. This past weekend I saw this tree that was redder than red. I sat and stared for a long while, appreciating it's beauty.
the cutest shack ever
I saw this little tool shed under some tall pines at a friends house. I loved the color and the how little the corrugated was. It would be a fun little garden house to hang out in and dream up projects to do.
