winter scenes
it took a while for winter to arrive...we had milder than normal temperatures in december, as did most of the country...but, now winter is here, as evidenced by the frost outside and wilting camellia blossoms...

early spring: star magnolia
it is really feeling like spring here now. everything is beginning to flower. sometimes i find it overwhelming, to see so many colors all at once. this year i will take it slow...and enjoy them one at a time. here, a star magnolia sits quietly on an overcast day.
