This holiday, my nephew, Clay introduced me to a great new cookbook, 'seven fires'. It's all about cooking everything on the fire. I'm a big fire nut. Anything woodfired gets me excited, so I was eager to watch as he placed 4 kobucha squash in the coals. We covered them up and let them cook about an hour. It smelled like roasted pumpkin. After cooking, Clay cut them in half and mixed in some red wine vinegar sauce, arugula, and goat cheese. Yummy!
