the pecans are dropping from the trees and the holidays are upon us. i love making these pecans for company along side a cheese plate or add them to a salad. everyone always loves this simple snack.
ingredients
3 cups of whole pecans
2.5 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 tsp salt (or more to taste)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
directions
-in a cast iron pan lightly toast the pecans until they become fragrant
-remove from heat
-toss pecans with butter and toss the pecans until melted
-add the remaining of the ingredients
-bring back to heat and stir for 2 minutes
-pour pecans over parchment paper to cool
-store in an airtight container for up to 5 days
